This particular case shows a loose lower margin of the eyelid with prominent skin wrinkles. The removal of the skin entailed a risk in further widening the eye. Blepharoplasty was performed with excellent results, giving vigor to dull and weary eyes.

The result shown in the image was achieved through the removal of a limited amount of skin and reinforcing the lower margin of the lid through surgery done on the orbicularis muscle which was tensed and attached to the periosteum of the superomedial orbital branch.
